Valentine A. Lehr, P.E.

Valentine Lehr, with a BCE from Manhattan College and MSCE from Polytechnic Univesity, is a recognized industry leader, educator, lecturer, and a published engineer. Licensed in 28 US states and territories, Mr. Lehr is also a Chartered Engineer in the United Kingdom and a licensed professional engineer in Australia. He is a Senior Partner of Lehr Consultants International and founding Partner of its precursor formed in 1969.

Mr. Lehr is a former President of the New York Association of Consulting Engineers, a Fellow of ASHRAE and ASCE, and Member of NSPE, AWWA, ASPE, and ASSE. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Manhattan College, LaSalle Academy and the newly formed East New York Academy Charter School . In addition to lecturing at numerous colleges and universities, Mr. Lehr is also an adjunct professor at New York University having been on the faculty there since 1968.

Mr. Lehr's experience covers projects on six continents. Noted for innovation in high-rise construction, hotel design and Master Planning of complex projects, he is also dedicated to environmentally responsive sustainable design and has led the design efforts in numerous award winning environmental projects.
Steven M. Winter

Steven Winter, a Principal of Lehr Consultants International has served in several capacities since joining the firm in 1979. Mr. Winter functions as a Project Director, with full responsibility for the administration of major projects.

Mr. Winter is a member of the Building Owners Managers Association, American Society of Sanitary Engineers, and the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, for which he served as President. He is also an adjunct professor at New York University having been on the faculty since 1986. Mr. Winter has published articles regarding plumbing systems in various trade publications.

Mr. Winter's experience covers a wide range of project types including hotels, educational facilities, residential, cultural, financial institutions, health care facilities, office buildings, landmark buildings, restaurants, ultra tall buildings, as well as tenant fit-out projects for many of these building types.
George Langer, P.E.

George Langer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the City College of the University of New York and is a Registered Professional Engineer in seven states. He also holds certification in Value Engineering. Mr. Langer is a former Assistant Professor of Mechanical Building Systems at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, and has lectured at the Pratt Institute, Yale University, City College, and New York University. He is currently an instructor in HVAC Engineering at the Polytechnic University, Brooklyn, NY.

Mr. Langer has served as a Member of the New York City Building Commissioner’s Ad-Hoc Committee on code interpretation and was active in the preparation of Local Law 16/84.

With almost 45 years of experience, Mr. Langer is a recognized expert on residential construction, retro-fit of older high rise construction, and landmark buildings. He has a reputation for quality control and attentiveness to client requirements.
Christopher Haschek, P.E.

Christopher Haschek, with a BME Degree, with Honors, from City University of New York is a Professional Engineer with wide experience in both mechanical engineering design and mechanical contracting. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the National Engineering Honor Fraternity.

Mr. Haschek’s projects include design and replacement of HVAC systems in commercial building, apartment and hotel construction and industrial complexes. With special expertise in central heating and cooling plant design as well as infrastructure and distribution, he takes an active leadership role in planning for these complex assignments.
Mark Papenhausen, P.E.

Mark Papenhausen, has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida where he graduated with Honors. A licensed Professional Engineer Mr. Papenhausen has over 20 years experience in the design and construction of complex mechanical systems. He has extensive experience in resolution of field installation and coordination difficulties for both new and existing projects.

Mr. Papenhausen is experienced in Construction Management as well as Design and Control of Mechanical Installation for projects in healthcare, residential and hotel construction, commercial buildings, municipal projects, and educational institutions. He has special expertise in central heating and cooling plants as well as infrastructure projects. His expertise extends to complex design-building assignments.
Omor Igiehon

Omor Igiehon, holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree from the City University of New York and has undertaken graduate studies at the Polytechnic Institute of New York in heat transfer and turbo machinery. In addition to his engineering and construction experience, Mr. Igiehon served as a Senior Project Officer for the New York City School Construction Authority where he developed special expertise in educational institution design and construction.

Mr. Igiehon is experienced in the design of mechanical systems for a wide variety of projects including healthcare, residential, commercial, and hotels. In the commercial sector, he has specialized in major plant installation and replacement and is especially adept at the design-build projects. His past projects include extensive organization and construction management which have been applied to the full spectrum of projects within LCI.
Daniel V. Lehr - 1967-2010

Daniel V. Lehr, a Partner of the firm, lost his brief but valiant battle against Lung Cancer and passed away on August 18, 2010. Dan led the design efforts on many of our hotel and ultra tall towers, splitting his time between our New York and Dubai offices. His leadership and design talent will be missed.
